What to Expect at Worship
Welcome to Fairfield Glade Community Church!
Thank you for visiting our website, and for your interest in our church community! We hope this page will answer your “W” questions!
WHO: Our members believe our mission is to bring together Christians and those seeking Christ by understanding, acceptance, respect, and tolerance. We come from many faith backgrounds but are unified in our values. We have heard that we are known in the Glade as “the friendly church”, one that welcomes all!
WHEN: Our Sunday morning service begins at 10:00 with the Call To Service Bell ringing. The service usually lasts about 60 minutes. Coffee and conversation are after the service, please join in.
WHERE and WEAR: There is convenient parking on the north and south ends of the church. Handicapped accessible parking is to the rear of the north side, and also close to the church office entrance at the south. There is a convenient portico for drop‐off purposes as well. In addition to the parking, the doors to the church are also handicapped accessible.
Our greeters and ushers can assist you with entering the sanctuary and any special seating and/or hearing devices you may need. We also provide nursery care if young children are attending with you.
Most who attend our service are dressed casually, but you will see jeans, dresses, suits, and an occasional hat on some who attend. What is on the “inside” is more important than what is on the outside. Come with an open heart, and you will certainly be greeted with a warm smile.
WHAT: Our service represents what we believe, that “no matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome in this place”. We celebrate our diversity and engage in fellowship with each other. The ushers will provide you with the bulletin (large print is available upon request) which details the worship service. You will also want to read our Weekly Messenger, which is available in the vestibule of the north back entrance. This up‐to‐date information will provide you with additional opportunities for missions, fellowship, and participation in our community of faith.
The first Sunday of each month is a time to celebrate Holy Communion. If your beliefs ask you to commune more often, elements are always available in the sanctuary. Be sure to plan to stay after service for fellowship and coffee. We welcome the opportunity to get to know you better!
WHY: After a unifying service of praise, prayer, hymns, devotions and scripture-based sermons, we are prepared to face the oncoming week with joy and grace. If you have additional questions about Fairfield Glade Community Church, please contact the pastor, staff, or leadership via email or phone.
