Church Activities during Summer and Fall of 2016

Spring 2017 Cleanup rescheduled for Fall due to Inclement weather

The “Blue Crew “ Helps Beautify Peavine Road

November 12, 2016 was a beautiful sunny

day, perfect for working outside. The

Fairfield Glade Community Church Blue Crew consisted of seventeen church members and two church friends.

The group enthusiastically picked up litter on Peavine Road from Firetower Road to

the old Bean Pot Restaurant. Two hours of hard work produced thirty-two good sized bags of trash, plus numerous larger items that were stacked on top of the bags.

The Friends of Peavine group generously

loaned us their trash grabbers, making our job easier. Planing is underway for another litter pickup in the spring, and will be coordinated with the other groups to share tools, materials, and trips to TDOT.

Next year's schedule will be announced early so that volunteers can schedule the date.

Thanks to everyone that participated.

Well done.
