Brenda Moore joined the staff at Fairfield Glade Community Church as associate organist in January 2020. She was born in Kansas and graduated from the Ohio State University in Civil Engineering before retiring to Fairfield Glade. Brenda took piano lessons in grade school. She grew up in Kansas on a wheat farm. On Saturdays, the family went into town and Brenda went to piano lessons. In high school, Brenda also took lessons from the organist at her Baptist church. Brenda played the organ occasionally for church and piano/organ duets with another student. Brenda did not play for 35 years while living and working in Oklahoma and Ohio. As a retirement gift, she purchased a synthesizer and started playing again. She started playing in bell choir at the Community Church in 2016. This led to substituting for the organist, Mary Hirst. Brenda has also played the piano for bell ensembles, Good Samaritan Society chapel services, and Good Samaritan Society skilled nursing residents. Brenda's favorite music endeavor is playing piano/organ and piano/piano duets with Mary Hirst.
